When is the InterAct Festival?

The InterAct Youth Arts Festival will take place from Monday 25th July to Sunday 31st July 2011, offering FREE daytime events to young people aged 12-21yrs.  The full Festival programme will be available in early June.

Where does it take place?

The InterAct events will take place across 12 venues (please check the Festival programme for full venue details):

How do I take part?

If you are aged 12-21 years you are welcome to participate in InterAct. We welcome people of all capabilities and from all backgrounds. Pick up or download a programme and call us to book on T: 028 7127 2788 / 028 7127 2776.

How do I book?

Bookings will open the day after the official Festival Programme launch, which is due to take place in mid-June. If you are aged 12-21 years of age, you are welcome to take part in InterAct.

Places fill up fast, so book early. All events are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. Each person can book up to 2 workshops and 1 masterclass (subject to availability). You can go to as many film screenings or live performances as you wish.

  • To book for the gig night or the showcase; ring the Millennium Forum Box Office on 028 7126 4455 or book online at www.millenniumforum.co.uk or call into the Box Office. Tickets are also available from The Nerve Centre.
  • Film screenings do not require advance booking, simply turn up at the Nerve Centre for screenings as listed in the Festival programme

Please Note: your booking for any workshop or masterclass will not be confirmed until we have received the fully completed parental consent, health form and photography consent form.

Can I turn up for a workshop/masterclass if I haven’t booked?

No. Advance booking is required for the workshops and masterclasses. You do not have to book for the films and tickets will be on sale at the Millennium Forum Box Office for the gig.

How much will these events cost?

All workshops, masterclasses, film screenings and the InterAct Showcase are FREE to attend.  The live gig is a ticketed event with tickets priced at £6/£7.

Do I need to bring my own resources/equipment to the workshops?

Each facilitator will be responsible for ensuring that the necessary resources are provided for participants.  However, we encourage students to bring their own instrument if they are participating in the Rock School.

Will there be appropriate supervision?

All events run in strict adherence to the Millennium Forum’s Child Protection Policy.

Will transport be provided?

No. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from each event.

What facilities are in place for participants with disabilities?

We welcome bookings from youth from all backgrounds and capabilities.  A Special Needs Assistant will be available throughout the festival.  Please let us know when booking if you require any assistance.

Please note that InterAct festival reserves the right to make changes to the advertised programme at any time. If we should make changes for an event you are due to attend, we will let you know in advance.
